So the holidays have left us to hopefully enjoy more fond memories of events worth remembering. What is new for Bob the DJ in this new year? items worth mentioning would have to include a fun-filled evening in Wisconsin for a company Casino Night. Craps tables, Roulette wheels, Poker, and Black Jack. Of course I did my part to help entertain the crew. Dancing and laughing made the night quite a success. Thanks to Melissa for her part too!
More recently, an outrageous time was to be had at the Totally Awesome 80’s Party thrown as a fund raiser for the BASV! I donned my best mohawk, studded colar, Billy Idol gloves, sleeveless top, bandana and boots and shared the room with the likenesses of Ozzy, Maverick, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Annie Lenox, Don Johnson, and Dee Snyder. Some great photos to be posted soon, so check back. A Rock Lobster contest (I know, that’s from 1979, but was huge in the 80’s), crazy photo booth (my wife makes one hell of a rocker!), Rubik’s cubes and electric blue drinks. Reese did an awesome job putting this bash together!
Coming up…volunteer runway models strutting their stuff in funky shoes to raise money for a wonderful cause, talent shows to promote the performing arts, and more! Take a Walk in Her Shoes fund raiser sponsored by McHenry County College will take place on March 19th at the Crystal Lake Holiday Inn and will feature ladies showing what they’ve got on the runway to help women and children in need. An auction and great runway music should make for a blast. The Line’s School Talent Show will be held at the gorgeous world famous Sanfilippo Estate Carousel House coming up in April.
Follow me, the party’s this way!
